Pioneer Consulting Appoints Keith Schofield to head up its Submarine Network Consulting Practice
BOSTON (May 15th 2007) - Pioneer
Consulting announced today the appointment of Keith Schofield as
Director, Submarine Networks. Keith joins Pioneer from Cable &
Wireless, where for 17 years, latterly as Director, Commercial
Development, he led various submarine network consulting programs
including the world's first unrepeatered cable to exceed 300km, the
Brazil Domestic Submarine Cable Integration Project, Southern Cross
Consultancy, engineering due diligence, advice on distressed assets,
the Cable & Wireless next-generation network, and a host of
submarine cable consulting work. Keith's activities spanned commercial,
program management, and engineering projects. Prior to that, Keith
worked 8 years in development, manufacturing and projects for STC (now
part of Alcatel-Lucent). Keith has consulted around the world on
submarine infrastructure projects valued in excess of US$2bn. Most
recently, Keith worked with Pioneer on a successful feasibility study
for a planned multimillion dollar cable in the resurgent submarine
network marketplace.
